“The Mortgage Lady” was how I was once addressed by a young client, but our company is more than just myself. We are a ‘’wee’’ team of dedicated ladies who are by no means providing a ‘’wee’’ service. Nestled in the rural village of Am Blàr Dubh (Muir of Ord) in the bonnie Gàidhealtachd na h-Alba (Scottish Highlands) we are a one stop professional service.
We thrive on making a difference to uplift the lives of our clients and help them to achieve their dreams.
We enjoy unique relationships, with friendly people from all backgrounds, including crofting, fishing and the oil industry and strive to ensure their experience is as unique as our landscapes. I am a personable, caring and thoughtful person, and always have the client’s best interests at heart. Going that extra mile is in my nature, along with holding a hand or two.
Employing Helen and Jacqui was invaluable in growing the business which led to an increase in re-mortgages. We keep our clients informed through our newsletter, which is further proof of our growing client base. This summer, Zara, our first University student, joined the team. She found her experience valuable and educational.
Most of our loyal clients are referred to us by other clients, such as Graeme, who had been refused a mortgage elsewhere. With my expertise and knowledge his mortgage was approved and he has since had two more! This is why I love what I do and why I established my company.
We have received many “braw” testimonials, thank you cards, flowers, chocolates and even fish! Winning our first award this year as Regional Best Broker, Highlands & Islands was overwhelming. The publicity raised our profile.
“This is just to say thank you, our mortgage is finally paid off! Thank you for your understanding & advice at a time when we needed it, we are very grateful. We would certainly recommend you. Kindest Regards, John & Margaret”
“Thank you so much Helen for all that you did for us. You made our dream come true. You really did make it so easy for us to buy our first home & for that we are eternally grateful. Love Hanna, Joe & Orrin xxx”
Giving back to the community is a great passion of mine. My greatest achievements was the establishment of a Charitable Company and a ‘Community Hub’ for our village, with £1.156 million from the National Lottery.
Attending the Queen’s Garden Party at Holyrood, and meeting Princess Anne in 2017 was a great honour. Our community and other local businesses are all now thriving economically.
All of this is only possible with amazing support from my colleagues, family, and special friends. My inspiration is my wonderful Mum, who despite facing numerous illnesses, still continues on with a smile, perseverance and determination and these are the qualities I aspire to.
