Metropolis Surveyors have been around since 2005, and as a business have weathered some very difficult trading conditions, especially following the Credit Crunch. We are an independent privately owned business and one that has built its reputation on delivering a quality of service, backed by the knowledge that we provide safe and robust reports to our clients.
As a small business we have been able to not only recognise changes in the market, but to adapt to them and build them in to our proposition. One of these is the burgeoning market for second charge valuations, and Metropolis have been both champion and advocate of this market and have built incredibly strong relationships with brokers and lenders alike.
Our collaborative partnerships have seen us work with many lenders to help develop their own interpretation of valuation guidelines, as well as providing significant assistance in dealing with many of the new risks that have developed over recent years, such as cladding and onerous lease terms, for example.
At the same time we don’t rest on our laurels, and are constantly engaged with our clients from both a delivery point of view, and a compliant and safe reporting structure.
Our team ethos, from the network of surveyors in the field, to all the staff in our Head Office, is to deliver unparalleled service and quality, and the client, lender or private, and the broker in the case of second charge, are at the heart of us driving to meet their expectations.
We have seen double digit growth in the second charge space in the past year, and that is simply down to delivering a high level of service, without compromising on quality. Our belief is that we keep everyone in the value chain safe. This is borne out by the number of Industry Awards we have gratefully picked up this year, which are all voted for by the people that matter in the Industry.
The market continues to change and evolve and as a business we have to keep in step with this, but by having such strong partnerships with our clients, we are able to facilitate change quickly and efficiently.
Notwithstanding this, as a business we believe in valuing our staff and consultants lifestyle demands, and have many surveyors working the hours that they choose to fit in with their other commitments. We also have a number of working mums at all levels including senior management, who work hours that fit into their day, but are still passionate about the job they do.
