When we wrote our first loan back in 2014, we set out to make Optimum Credit the UK’s leading second charge mortgage provider. We’ve accomplished that goal.
This past year has been our most successful ever.
We’ve grown our Cardiff team to over 150 colleagues, which has meant a move to a larger, brand new office.
We’ve excelled on the business front with several record months, highlighted by achieving gross sales of £34m in July.
We now have more than 18,000 customers and as of October 2019 hold the largest share of the UK second charge market at 32%.
Notably, in October, we also reached a total of £1 billion lent to customer since we started.
We’ve introduced some innovative new products. In the summer we launched a 100 per cent maximum LTV second charge mortgage for prime borrowers with a good payment history. We also overhauled our product pricing to offer more competitive fixed term rates.
We pride ourselves on delivering an unrivalled service to our customers and broker partners. Technology is at the heart of this. During the year we’ve further developed our in-house mortgage quotation software. This lets us provide bespoke quotes even more quickly and accurately, which is a big competitive advantage.
